Phenology:
Wednesday, April 10, 2013- Heard our first American robin of the season singing from our house in Duluth.
Thursday, April 11, 2013- Saw our first American robin of the season on a walk near our house. Snowstorm went through the Duluth area starting around 11:30 am on Thursday and snowing until sometime Friday night/Saturday morning. I was even privileged to hear the low rumbling of thunder on three occasions. Never heard that during a snowstorm before! It was very eerie.
There were 7 large ships in the bay this morning as well as an icebreaker. We think the snowstorm probably caused them to seize travel for awhile. That is the most we've seen in the bay at one time. It looked like a battleship board all set-up for play. Lake Superior is truly a huge lake!
After 3 years in Alaska, we are hoping to find our ROOTS in Cloquet; finding a home and adding to our small family of two. Humane Society here we come! However, we will continue to have our outdoor adventures. There are plenty adventures to be had in Minnesota and you can be sure we will be seeking them out. Our WINGS are too strong to be rooted completely. Through our new journey we ask for the Lord to guide us. We know that He is forever listening to our PRAYERS.
